Dear Oil Workers, Gas Workers, and Geologists!
I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry and Geology, widely celebrated in our independent neutral Fatherland!
Impressive success is achieved in the oil and gas sector of the national economy through your persistent and diligent labor. The comprehensive activity carried out in the industry reinforces our country's position among the world leaders in hydrocarbon reserves. Based on this, we are launching major international projects and setting grandiose goals, the achievement of which will allow us to use hydrocarbon resources, primarily in the interests of the well-being of our people, future generations, as well as the peoples of neighboring states.
As a result of the efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, the Turkmenistan-China International Gas Pipeline was launched on December 14, 2009. It is highly symbolic that this date, inscribed in the pages of history in golden letters, is celebrated in our country as the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry and Geology.
In the context of ensuring the comprehensive development of the sovereign Fatherland, national and state programs have been adopted. In accordance with them, today, in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, large-scale measures are being implemented to achieve the set goals of creating major industrial complexes, a gas network, and developing prospective oil and gas fields throughout the country.
Among the achievements of the industry, we can note the discovery of new oil and gas fields in various corners of our Motherland, the Turkmenistan-China and East-West gas pipelines, and the currently implemented project for the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI).
In the International Year of Peace and Trust, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, blessed the construction of a key segment of the aforementioned project along the Serhetabat-Herat route, named "Arkadag's White Path". This event once again demonstrates the unwavering aspiration of the Fatherland to significantly contribute to the long-term progress of our states and ensure sustainable development across the region.
Dear Oil Workers, Gas Workers, and Geologists!
The "Galkynysh" gas repository, discovered as a result of the diligent searches of domestic geologists and being one of the largest combustible mineral fields in the world, holds enormous economic significance for our country and the region as a whole. Its phased development opens new horizons in the context of expanding the supply of Turkmen natural gas to international markets. The number of states showing demand for Turkmen energy resources is growing substantially today. Renowned global companies and international financial structures are also highly interested in cooperation and investment in this area with our country. This growing interest is also driven by the creation of a favorable investment climate for the development of licensed blocks in the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea.
In accordance with the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028" and the Program "Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052", comprehensive measures are envisaged to significantly increase the level of production in the country's oil and gas industry.
The successful development of oil and gas bearing fields in our Fatherland, which possesses colossal natural resources, demonstrates the accelerated pace of work in this direction. The development of oil and gas fields and the extraction of hydrocarbon raw materials, followed by their delivery to consumers, directly require compliance with environmental protection requirements, the execution of these processes according to ecological standards, and the reduction of climate impact. All of this represents primary tasks. I am convinced that the workers of the oil and gas industry and geology, adopting advanced global practices, will continue to make a significant contribution to fulfilling Turkmenistan's obligations in this area.

The independent neutral Fatherland strives to utilize its natural resources not only for national interests but also for the interests of other peoples in the region and the world. Therefore, the diversification of the industry's export capabilities and the creation of an extensive network of pipelines constitute one of the priorities of our state's energy strategy. The measures taken in this regard are aimed at maintaining energy security, the well-being of the region's countries, and the formation of an economically sustainable environment. We will continue our work in this direction in the future.
